Info Net Instructions:
Dear Staff,
The Facilities Department has implemented a new management information system that will assist in scheduling, tracking and reporting of maintenance activities here at Northern New Mexico College.
As customers, this will affect the way you request services. Effective 12/14/2009, we will no longer accept email requests for service as requests will only be accepted through this system. We encourage you to use our online requesting system, InfoNet. You can access InfoNet by opening your browser and going to
www.e-mpulse.com/mpulse/infonet. This URL will direct you to the InfoNet login page. IMPORTANT: Save this URL as a bookmark so you can refer to it when you need to submit requests.
You will need to input two individual pieces of information to log in. The account name and database name. The account name is NNMC which is UPPER CASE and is case sensitive. THERE IS NO PASSWORD. The database name NNMC_EC is UPPER CASE and case sensitive.
Once you log in, you will be presented with two buttons: (1) Maintenance Request Records used to submit new requests and (2) Request Tracking System to check the status of your request(s).
After you click on the Maintenance Request Records button, you will have access to the form for submission of your request(s).
The following is a description for each field: Subject: This field is used to supply a short (no more than 100 characters) description of your request.
Requester: Type your name in this field.
Originator phone: This is the phone number where you can be contacted by our office.
Campus: Chose El Rito Campus or Espanola Campus
Date: Assigned by the system
Asset Type: Chose Facility Records
Which one?: Click on the drop down arrow and chose the appropriate facility record for your request. (Note: This list is filtered by the Campus choice you made above.)
Requester email: Type your email address in this field, as we may need to email you back for additional information, so make sure it is accurate.
Room or Area: This field is used to locate the problem room or area within the facility record you choose.
Alt Contact / Phone: If there is someone else we should contact about this request, please give us their name and phone number.
Category: Choose one of the three category choices: Normal, Urgent and Event/Setup. By default the category is Normal, but if you feel the request is of an Urgent matter feel free to check this option. If the request is to request services in support of an Event or to perform a Setup check this third option.
Please describe the nature……: This section will be used to further explain your request. This is an unlimited text box, so feel free to provide any information you deem necessary. If you need to submit a drawing, layout, or file you will need to send it via email to andy@nnmc.edu as an attachment. The Facilities Department will put the files together in the system.
Note: When you open the Maintenance Request Records page the first time all the fields will be blank. However, when you come back in for a subsequent request most of the data you typed in will be on the request form and all you will need to do is update the date for the new request. You can clear the form by clicking on the Reset button.
Once you have provided all the information you feel we will need to address your issue, click on the Submit button at the bottom of the form.
Once you submit the request you will be given a numbered receipt. You can print this receipt for your records.
From here you can create another request or close out of InfoNet by closing the browser.
At this point you have started the ‘data trail’ that will be processed from your request into a work order with an assignment for a technician to complete the assignment. We will be applying costs to each activity so we can gain a cost accounting perspective on the services we offer. Once the requested work is completed, it will be available for reporting which we can use to help us use data for decision making. We can not do this without everyone doing their part. We appreciate your patience while we are implementing this system.
This new system will allow us to integrate our Preventive Maintenance Program and our Inventory Control. We look forward to all the information we will be able to obtain in the future.
Thank you in advance for your contributions.
