Professional Licensure Disclosure & NC SARA
Professional Licensure Disclosure All NNMC professional licensure programs are designed to meet the licensure and/or certification requirements for the state of New Mexico. The information below is intended to help prospective and current students determine whether a program leads to professional licensure in each state. Perspective and current students are encouraged to double check with state licensing boards as well. If you have questions, it is recommended that you contact the appropriate licensing agency.
NC SARA: NNMC is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement (NC-SARA) which allows the College to provide distance learning programs and coursework to residents of states other than New Mexico.
Student Location: The U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, specifically 34 CFR 668.43(a)(5)(v) and 34 CFR 668.43(c), require disclosures by institutions regarding educational requirements for providing programs leading to professional licensure or certification. Part of these disclosures require the student’s physical location while participating in the program. NNMC will request students to update location information once per semester.
Specific Program Information: Click on a program links below to find additional information about the preparation provided by the program including the following specific disclosure:
- Cosmetology & Barbering (Associates and Certificates)
- Engineering (Bachelor Degrees)
- Nursing
- Teacher Education
Disclosure information was last updated during the Fall 24 semester and is reviewed on an annual basis. Successful completion of an NNMC program does not guarantee attaining professional licensure in any state. NNMC program curriculum may or may not meet requirements for licensure or certification in other states. State laws, regulations, and policies change so that a program that currently meets requirements may no longer meet requirements of licensure in a state. If you are interested in becoming licensed in a state other than NM or would like to discuss this further, contact Farjahan Shawon at farjahan.shawon@nnmc.edu.
